loop!

"Loop!" was my favourite university project - an exploration of movement and rhythm through animation. the brief prompted us to create a promotional animation for AN electrifying dance show by "Electro Street" at Fold London. Drawing inspiration from the pulsating beats and quick movements of electro dance - a style born in the streets of Paris - I embarked on a journey to capture its essence in looping animation. Drawing from the techniques pioneered by Norman McLaren in his iconic "Pas de Deux," I crafted two stop motion animations. Each frame showcases the dynamic movements of the dancers and echoes the spirit of the electrifying performance. Through this project, I delved into the synergy between animation and sound, learning to weave them together to create an immersive and captivating experience.
